Everything your organization needs to know about running a 50/50.
There are no upfront expenses! We understand the financial constraints of non-profit organizations, so our platform allows you to cover administrative costs directly from your 50/50 proceeds. You'll receive an invoice for 50/50-related fees after the event concludes, and any credit card processing charges are deducted at the point of ticket purchase. The beauty of our 50/50 model is simple: once the 50/50 ends, the total jackpot is split equally. The winner takes home half, while your organization retains the other half. This means you keep all the funds raised, with transparent, minimal fees that come out of the ticket sales themselves.
Running a 50/50 through our platform isn't open to everyone. Only registered non-profit organizations and charities recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency are eligible. Additionally, your organization must already have an established lottery licence or gaming account with the appropriate provincial licensing authority to qualify for a 50/50 licence.
Yes, obtaining a 50/50 licence is your organization's responsibility. Our team will help you prepare any necessary documentation, but you will need to apply through your province's gaming regulator. Reach out to our team to get started!
Credit card processing fees are charged immediately when tickets are purchased. All other platform-related costs will be invoiced to your organization after the 50/50 has concluded, ensuring a straightforward and transparent billing process.
Selling tickets is a breeze with our platform. Once your 50/50 goes live, you'll receive a unique link that you can easily distribute through email, social media, and your organization's communication channels. This simple sharing process helps you quickly reach potential ticket buyers and maximize your fundraising potential.
Definitely! 5050.live provides custom "in support of" links that allow precise tracking of ticket sales to specific members, volunteers, or organizations. Ticket buyers can use these personalized links or select a supporter directly on the 50/50 page. The "Teams" tab serves as a real-time leaderboard, showing sales performance.
